The Possible Dream Foundation, Inc. is highly esteemed,
and honored for its long-term care of individuals with
Down Syndrome and a large variety of disabling conditions
including: Anencephaly; Autism; Behavioral Disorders;
Cerebral Palsy; Cleft Face; Cortical Blindness;
Cranio-facial Deformations; Crie du Chat Syndrome;
Deafness; Developmental Disabilities; Holoprosencephaly;
Hydrocephaly; Mental Retardation; Microcephaly; Near
Drowning; Noonan's Syndrome; 9p Minus Syndrome;
Organic Brain Syndrome; Paraplegia;
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Quadriplegia;
Seizure Disorders; Shaken Baby Syndrome; Spina Bifida;
Status Post Meningitis Infection; Stroke; Trisomy 13, 18,
and 21; and Zellweger's Syndrome.
Currently forty children and adults are being loved and
cared for in our homes in the Falls residential area of
Miami, Florida and on our farm in the Appalachian
mountains of Hayesville, North Carolina. Eighteen
of these children with Down Syndrome have been adopted
by Camille and Dr. Mike.
Our Miami location provides: long term custodial and short
term respite care; counseling and support for families;
hospice care for infants with terminal genetic disorders;
and on-the-job training for disabled adults.
We accept long-term and respite care clients for placement
with private funding and funding through the Medicaid Waiver
program.Our Miami location also provides after-school and
day care services on a limited basis.
Our North Carolina location is our "Retirement Village" where
our children and adults assist with maintenance and daily a
ctivities of a working farm. See our "News From the North"

canines for search and rescue, obedience, and special needs
individuals.
As respected authorities on Down Syndrome and other
related genetic disorders, Camille and Dr. Geraldi are
often consulted by professionals as well as countless
families for their guidance and expertise. Over the
years, the Geraldis have been featured in numerous major
media including: 60 Minutes; People; Geraldo; Larry King Live;
USA Today; Ladies' Home Journal; 48 Hours; and Good
Morning America.
Numerous awards and honors include: "Point of Light Award"
from President George H.W. Bush; "National Caring Award"
from The Caring Institute; "Achiever of Millennium" from
National Rehabilitation Awareness Foundation; "Adoptive
Mother of The Year Award" from National Mother's Day
Committee; Eckerd's "Woman of The Year"; "Kathryn
Lehman Weiner Advocate of Children Award"; National
Recipient "12th Annual Father Baker Service to Youth Award";
and "Camille & Dr. Michael Geraldi Day" proclamation by the
Board of County Comissioners, Dade County, Florida.
